In RCUR you can set up recurring payments in three ways: Advanced subscriptions, Mollie subscriptions (Basic) and recurring orders. Below you can read what each type does and which one to choose.
Overview
Type | Multiple steps | Fixed day of the month | Automatic invoice | Products |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Advanced subscription | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
Mollie subscription (Basic) | No, one amount | No | No | No |
Recurring order | No | No | Yes | Yes |
Subscriptions (Advanced)
Advanced subscriptions offer the most options. You can add multiple steps with different amounts and intervals, and you choose the day on which we create the recurring payment.
For example: you collect €5 every Monday during the first month, and then automatically switch to a monthly direct debit of €15, created on the 12th of the month.
If you have activated one of our invoicing integrations, invoices can be sent automatically.
Mollie subscriptions (Basic)
With these subscriptions Mollie makes sure the payment is collected automatically every period. You set one amount, with an interval and optionally the number of times it should be collected. Leave the number empty to create a continuous subscription.
For example: a subscription of €15 that is collected every month.
Automatically sending invoices via an invoicing integration is not possible with Mollie subscriptions.
Recurring orders
With orders, customers can order one or more products or services via a payment link. Recurring products are also possible: we then automatically create recurring orders together with the direct debit payments.
For example: a customer orders a vegetable box that is reordered and collected every two weeks.
An invoice can also be sent automatically here via an invoicing integration.
